Caledonia waltzed into their contest on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They enjoyed a cozy 84-67 victory over the Rushford-Peterson Trojans. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Trojans are ranked 93rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Caledonia pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.6 points over those games. As for Rushford-Peterson, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-4.

Looking ahead, Caledonia will head out on the road to face off against La Crescent at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rushford-Peterson, they will host Schaeffer Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Rushford-Peterson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Schaeffer Academy likes a good challenge.
