South Warren has gone 8-2 against Glasgow recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Scotties at 6:00 p.m. South Warren is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
South Warren made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pensacola Catholic, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Spartans blew past the Crusaders 9-2 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Griffin Rardin made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Austin Allen tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, Ty Croghan was excellent, scoring three runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Gray Pearson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first doubles of the season.
South Warren kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Glasgow came up short against Somerset on Thursday and fell 8-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Scotties in their meetings with the Briar Jumpers: they've now lost three in a row.
Glasgow also got a good showing from Rashad Etheridge, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, Glasgow saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Templin, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.
South Warren's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Glasgow, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1.
Glasgow's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: South Warren has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .455. It's a different story for Glasgow, though, as they've only averaged .360. Will they be able to contain South Warren's hitters?
South Warren was able to grind out a solid win over Glasgow in their previous matchup back in March, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
