Sweet Springs proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 17) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lone Jack Mules 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Greyhounds have posted since March 25, 2024.

Sweet Springs is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Lone Jack and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sweet Springs will face off against Green Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lone Jack, they will challenge Wellington-Napoleon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
