Softball Recap: West Brunswick Find Success

On Thursday, the West Brunswick Trojans were able to grind out a solid win over the Lumberton Pirates, taking the game 16-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

The team relied heavily on Katelyn Woodard, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5. Alivia West was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

West Brunswick was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

West Brunswick's record now sits at 2-0. As for Lumberton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

West Brunswick has already played their next game, a 5-1 victory against Whiteville on the 4th. As for Lumberton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-1 defeat against Cape Fear on the 4th.
