Football Recap: Seton Hall Prep Starts off Right with Win over St. John-Vianney + How To Watch

Seton Hall Prep gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the St. John-Vianney Lancers 14-12. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2021.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed eight in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Bryce Robbins, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seton Hall Prep will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Chaminade at 1:00 p.m. on September 13. As for St. John-Vianney, they will welcome Raritan at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Lancers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
