Baseball Recap: Ralls Beats Petersburg for Their Fourth Straight Victory

While Ralls didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Petersburg Buffaloes with a sharp 9-3 win on Tuesday. Fans of the Jackrabbits have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Andrew Morales was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Austin Wint was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Xaine Soliz was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Looking ahead, Ralls will look to defend their home field on Thursday against O'Donnell at 6:30 p.m. Ralls' pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so O'Donnell's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Petersburg, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will square off against Ralls at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
