Baseball Game Preview: Gettysburg Warriors vs. Lower Dauphin Falcons

The Gettysburg Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Lower Dauphin Falcons at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Gettysburg's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four matches, but Thursday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Gettysburg is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since April 19, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Palmyra by a score of 4-2.

Meanwhile, Lower Dauphin hadn't done well against Warwick recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 12-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lower Dauphin pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Gettysburg, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Gettysburg came out on top in a nail-biter against Lower Dauphin in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
