Pleasant has gone a perfect 3-0 against Fredericktown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Freddies at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Pleasant's favor as the squad sits on 15 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Fredericktown has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Pleasant and Highland, and Highland kept the tradition alive. The Spartans came up short against the Fighting Scots on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss was the Spartans' first of the season.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Highland scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Fredericktown lost 3-0 to Centerburg on Tuesday.

While Fredericktown was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-22.

Fredericktown's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Pleasant, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 20-1.

Pleasant came out on top in a nail-biter against Fredericktown when the teams last played back in October of 2023, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Freddies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
