Marcellus waltzed into their contest on Friday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. Everything went their way against the Holland Patent Golden Knights as they made off with a 30-3 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kendall LaManche was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Chloe Kuttruff was a standout: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jordan O'Connor, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five runs and one RBI.

Marcellus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Marcellus' win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Holland Patent, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

As of now, neither Marcellus nor the Golden Knights have any future games scheduled.
