Blake Ellis' Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Starting off the list is Humboldt's Blake Ellis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Ellis rushed for 193 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 183 yards and two touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.
The victory for Humboldt keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Ellis' next game is against Bluestem on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Cole Ramey Delivers Electric Effort Vs Fredonia/Elk Valley
Cole Ramey posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He picked up 76 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
On the year, Ramey has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 83.2 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after four games last season, he had one receiving touchdown.

A Season-Best Performance from Colten Neal Leads Bluestem over Eureka
On Friday, Bluestem had to settle for second even though Colten Neal put up the best numbers he has all season. Neal rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (104.2) per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Neal and Bluestem will venture away from home to square off against Humboldt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will pit Neal up against the Cubs' star RB Cole G. Mathes. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

J'vonte White Makes It Two for Neodesha
The second Neodesha player making an appearance here is J'Vonte White, and for good reason. He picked up 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 63 yards.
This year, White has caught those 2 touchdowns while averaging 33.5 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 7.75 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 43 rushing yards.
