Preview: Indian Springs COYOTES vs. Pacific Pirates
Indian Springs has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Pacific Pirates at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Indian Springs didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against San Bernardino, but they still walked away with a 58-54 victory.
Among those leading the charge was Zachai Jacobs, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Jordan Culberson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Even though Pacific has not done well against Rubidoux recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Pacific skirted past Rubidoux 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Pacific's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Maurice Fitzgerald, who scored 18 points, and Damarion Tobias, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tobias has scored all season.
Indian Springs has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season. As for Pacific, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.
Indian Springs beat Pacific 58-49 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Indian Springs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
