The Pisgah Eagles will be playing at home against the Fyffe Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pisgah entered their tilt with Section with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the Lions on Thursday as they made off with a 10-3 win.
Jakob Kirby made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Kirby was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Pisgah let Ross Smith and Mason Gass loose on the outfield. Smith went 1-for-3 with a home run, while Gass scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was JJ Williams, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Fyffe got themselves on the board against Brindlee Mountain on Friday, but Brindlee Mountain never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over the Lions. The victory was just what Fyffe needed coming off of a 12-0 defeat in their prior game.
Pisgah's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Fyffe, they pushed their record up to 14-9 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
