Basketball Game Preview: San Simon Longhorns vs. Duncan Wildkats

San Simon is 0-10 against Duncan since December of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The San Simon Longhorns will square off against the Duncan Wildkats at 7:00 p.m. Duncan took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on San Simon, who comes in off a win.

San Simon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They strolled past Fredonia with points to spare, taking the game 36-22.

San Simon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hollie Keil, who posted eight points along with five rebounds and four steals. Keil has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Bryleigh Sloan, who scored six points in addition to seven steals and five boards.

Meanwhile, Duncan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Friday as they fell 30-24 to Cicero Prep Academy.

San Simon's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-14. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.8 points. As for Duncan, their loss dropped their record down to 21-6.

San Simon might still be hurting after the 33-9 defeat they got from Duncan in their previous meeting back in January. Can San Simon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
