Recap: Norwich RVT Warriors vs. Cheney RVT Beavers
The Norwich RVT Warriors won the last time they faced the Cheney RVT Beavers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Norwich RVT blew past Cheney RVT 41-14 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Norwich RVT.
Despite the defeat, Cheney RVT had strong showings from Janilla Hanson, who scored no points along with 16 rebounds and five steals, and Trinity Hazel, who scored 11 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Hanson grabbed two or more steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Cheney RVT struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
The victory got Norwich RVT back to even at 2-2. As for Cheney RVT, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norwich RVT is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Putnam at 11:00 a.m. on December 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Putnam is ranked 100th, while Norwich RVT is ranked 90th). Cheney RVT will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Harvard Ellis Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
