Softball Game Preview: Winona Tigers vs. Amanda Elzy Panthers

Winona is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Monday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Winona Tigers duke it out with Amanda Elzy Panthers at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for they and three for Amanda Elzy.

Winona came up short against Eupora on Friday, falling 17-2.

Meanwhile, Amanda Elzy scored the most runs they've had this season last Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Greenwood by a score of 31-30.

Amanda Elzy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Winona, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Everything went Winona's way against Amanda Elzy when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Winona made off with a 13-0 victory. Will Winona repeat their success, or does Amanda Elzy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
