Basketball Recap: Cimarron-Memorial Now 10-2 over Last 12 Games

Cimarron-Memorial won the last time they faced Shadow Ridge and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cimarron-Memorial Spartans walked away with a 73-65 win over the Shadow Ridge Mustangs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Cimarron-Memorial got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Christian Cardona out in front who went 8 of 20 on his way to 26 points and six steals. That's the most points Cardona has posted since back in January of 2024. Gerald Patterson was another key player, going 6 for 14 en route to 17 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Cimarron-Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Shadow Ridge, they moved to 12-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Cimarron-Memorial will square off against Del Sol at 6:39 p.m. on Monday. Del Sol is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season. As for Shadow Ridge, they will face off against Western at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Shadow Ridge is facing Western at the right time seeing as Western is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
