Basketball Recap: Bayshore Christian Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Bayshore Christian had won two straight road games and Tylan Lewis did his part to make it three on Friday. The Bayshore Christian Faith Warriors took down the Sarasota Military Academy Eagles 45-29 thanks in part to Lewis, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Bayshore Christian's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kasey Martin, who almost dropped a double-double on nine boards and nine blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in blocks.

Bayshore Christian's record now sits at 9-12. As for Sarasota Military Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Both are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Bayshore Christian will host Universal Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sarasota Military Academy, they will take on Calvary Christian on Monday. Calvary Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Sarasota Military Academy likes a good challenge.
