Volleyball Game Preview: Casteel Colts vs. Basha Bears

The Casteel Colts will challenge the Basha Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Casteel will be strutting in after a win while Basha will be coming in after a defeat.

Casteel took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Shadow Ridge by a score of 3-1.

Casteel had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-8.

Casteel relied on the efforts of Will Schneiderman, who had 25 digs and four assists, and Layton Bluth, who had 16 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Bluth has posted over his last six games.

Meanwhile, Basha came up short against Chandler on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-16.

Casteel's victory bumped their record up to 20-10-1. As for Basha, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
