It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gage Park can now relate to. They took a 73-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the DuSable Panthers on Monday. The Fighting Owls' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

DuSable's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ave'Veyon Watkins, who posted 17 points and five boards. That's the most points Watkins has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Malone, who scored 17 points.

Gage Park's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2. As for DuSable, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Gage Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for DuSable, they will head out to square off against Bowen at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bowen has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 274 points over their last three matchups.
