Baseball Recap: Collegiate Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Collegiate's offense. They came up short against the Trinity Tigers on Wednesday, falling 6-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Dutchmen's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Collegiate saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ale' Propper-Bowring, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

With the loss, Collegiate broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4. As for Trinity, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collegiate will face off against Calhoun at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Dutchmen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Trinity, they will take on Dalton at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
