Preview: Williamsburg Academy Stallions vs. Beaufort Academy Eagles
Williamsburg Academy is 3-0 against Beaufort Academy since November of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Williamsburg Academy Stallions will look to defend their home field against the Beaufort Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Williamsburg Academy will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
Williamsburg Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by Spartanburg Christian Academy at home to the tune of 46-7. The result was nothing new for Williamsburg Academy, who have now won seven contests by 27 points or more so far this season.
Camden Moore had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 73 receiving yards. Moore really tore up the turf during one magnificent 82-yard run. Another player making a difference was Conrad Balder, who threw for 135 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Beaufort Academy can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 25-13 win over Orangeburg Prep.
Beaufort Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaxen Porter, who rushed for 215 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Dietrich Shuford, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Beaufort Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Orangeburg Prep's QB won't forget Tres Delaney anytime soon given Delaney sacked him twice.
Williamsburg Academy pushed their record up to 11-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.5 points. As for Beaufort Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
We should be in store for an exciting game Friday as Williamsburg Academy and Beaufort Academy have no problem gaining yardage. Williamsburg Academy has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 386.9 total yards per game. However, it's not like Beaufort Academy struggles in that department as they've been even better at 409.3 per game.
