Kosciusko is a perfect 9-0 against Ethel since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Kosciusko will challenge Ethel at 6:30 p.m. Ethel took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Kosciusko, who comes in off a win.

Kosciusko's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They didn't even let Greenwood on the board, marking Kosciusko's second-straight 16-0 shutout. The Whippets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Ethel duked it out with South Pontotoc on Thursday. Ethel lost 14-6 to South Pontotoc. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kosciusko is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. Ethel's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Everything went Kosciusko's way against Ethel when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Kosciusko made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kosciusko since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
