Soccer Game Preview: Bay City vs. Palacios

The Bay City Blackcats will venture away from home to challenge the Palacios Sharks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bay City is headed into the contest without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Wharton get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Tuesday. The Blackcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by three goals or more this season.

Palacios fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Rice Consolidated by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Bay City is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That lines up perfectly with their 17-0 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 62 goals over those ten contests. Palacios' win bumped their record up to 4-11.

Everything went Bay City's way against Palacios in their previous matchup back in February, as Bay City made off with a 7-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bay City since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
