Basketball Game Preview: Taylor County Cardinals vs. Barren County Trojans

The Taylor County Cardinals will square off against the Barren County Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Barren County will be up against a hot Taylor County team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Taylor County came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 69-63 W against Elizabethtown.

Meanwhile, Barren County made easy work of Clinton County on Friday and carried off a 60-36 victory. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.

Taylor County pushed their record up to 18-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points over those games. As for Barren County, their victory bumped their record up to 22-5.
