Softball Game Preview: Springs Valley Blackhawks vs. Tell City Marksmen

Springs Valley is 0-4 against Tell City since May of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Blackhawks will be playing at home against the Marksmen at 6:00 p.m.

Springs Valley fell victim to West Washington and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Senators, falling 7-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 15, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Springs Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Hickman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Tell City came out on top against Princeton on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Marksmen walked away with a 6-1 win over the Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Marksmen.

Springs Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Tell City, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-6.
