Marshall posted their closest victory since October 4th on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lansing Catholic Cougars, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Redhawks in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Brynn Johnson paced Marshall's offense, picking up 16 kills. Johnson got some help from Addie Carden and her 23 assists. Finally, Peyton Tarmnel and Kamryn Wintersteen kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 32-11-5. As for Lansing Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-7-2.

Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lansing Catholic, they will welcome Sexton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
