Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heath). Everything went their way against the Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies on Thursday as they made off with a 17-3 victory. The Bulldogs have beaten the Johnnies the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Johnnies has come to flipping the script.

Heath pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Johnstown-Monroe, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10.

Coincidentally, Heath and Johnstown-Monroe will both be playing Zanesville the next time they take the field. The Johnnies will host the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
