Glacier Peak had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed by the Mariner Marauders to the tune of 73-38. Given the Grizzlies' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Marauders are ranked 301st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Glacier Peak's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Mariner, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glacier Peak and Cascade will meet on Tuesday for a tough Bear Battle. Glacier Peak is facing Cascade at the right time seeing as Cascade is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Mariner, they will square off against Sultan at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
