Basketball Game Preview: Palmer Moose vs. Colony Knights

Palmer is 1-9 against Colony since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Palmer Moose will head out on the road to challenge the Colony Knights at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Palmer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Palmer will head into Saturday's match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 34) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Juneau-Douglas, sneaking past 66-64. While the Moose didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Colony faced Wasilla in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Colony took a 63-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wasilla. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Palmer pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Colony, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-4.

Palmer didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Colony when the teams last played back in March of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win. Will Palmer repeat their success, or does Colony have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
