John Marshall had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 68-64 W against the Northfield Raiders. This was a revenge game for the Rockets: when they faced off against the Raiders back in January, they had to take a 49-46 loss.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grace Mostad, who posted 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Mostad is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Sand, who went 5-for-6 on her way to 10 points and five rebounds.

John Marshall pushed their record up to 16-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Northfield, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8.

John Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-56 win against Albert Lea on the 11th. As for Northfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 55-43 victory against Red Wing on the 11th.
