Preview: Millennium Falcons vs. Stone Ridge Christian Knights
Millennium is 8-2 against Stone Ridge Christian since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Millennium Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Stone Ridge Christian Knights at 7:00 p.m. Millennium is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Millennium suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 104-24 loss at the hands of Venture Academy. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, Millennium couldn't push the score so high this time.
Meanwhile, Stone Ridge Christian entered their tilt with Big Valley Christian with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Stone Ridge Christian walked away with a 75-63 victory over Big Valley Christian on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Stone Ridge Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daijon O?neil led the charge by scoring 24 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Kassius Salazar was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with two steals.
Millennium's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Millennium suffered a grim 77-53 defeat to Stone Ridge Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Millennium avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
