Riverdale proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Alma Center Lincoln Hornets, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Chieftains in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won four in a row.

Riley Kinney paced Riverdale's offense, picking up six kills. Kinney got some help from Abby Tisdale and her 14 assists. Finally, Allie Goplin kept Riverdale's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Riverdale's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Alma Center Lincoln, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
