Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Willow Canyon). They put the hurt on the Apollo Hawks with a sharp 8-0 victory on Monday. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 2.9 goals per game.

They hit Apollo with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brynn Kelly (4), Emma Miller (2), April Coronado, and Madison Mendiola.

Willow Canyon now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Apollo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Willow Canyon has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Desert Edge on the 31st. As for Apollo, they will head out to challenge Red Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on January 8th. Red Mountain will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Apollo surely won't give up without a fight.
