Avon strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Lake Flyers by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.

Londyn Stone paced Avon's offense, picking up seven kills. Stone got some help from Lily Hamilton and her 14 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Lake lost, don't look at Savanna Saunders. Despite the final result, she had 12 assists and four digs. Saunders has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last five times she's played.

Avon's victory bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Lake, they moved to 13-3 with that loss, which also ended their eight-match winning streak.

Avon has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Perrysburg on the 27th. As for Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Liberty-Benton on the 27th.
