Softball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 10-5 to the Aliso Niguel Wolverines.

Yasmine Lopez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jennessy Lopez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Liberty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Aliso Niguel, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.

Looking ahead, Liberty will head out to challenge Rialto at 3:45 p.m. on March 3rd. Aliso Niguel has already played their next match (against Murrieta Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
