Lehi is 8-1 against Herriman since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Pioneers will face off against the Mustangs at 11:00 a.m. Lehi is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Lehi heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Tuesday. They fell just short of Davis by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pioneers have suffered since April 29th.

Lehi saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mays Madsen, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Herriman faced Pleasant Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mustangs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings, sneaking past 3-2.

Lehi's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Herriman, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Lehi was able to grind out a solid victory over Herriman in their previous meeting back in April of 2017, winning 4-1. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
