Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Moriarty). They blew past the Socorro Warriors 61-14 on Saturday. For the Pintos, this counts as revenge for the 55-43 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Moriarty's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Presley Edwards, who posted 14 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Edwards is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Abbie Beukelman, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 14 points and three steals.

Moriarty was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Moriarty's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Socorro, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14.

Moriarty wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 43-28 win against Los Alamos on the 23rd. Socorro has also already played their next game, a 51-38 loss against Sandia Prep on the 21st.
