The victory was all the more spectacular given Annapolis Christian Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1557th, while Founders Classical Academy is ranked 658th).
Meanwhile, the matchup between Bloomington and Shiner on Friday hardly resembled the 32-12 effort from their previous meeting. Bloomington was beaten by Shiner 71-37. Bloomington has not had much luck with Shiner recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Annapolis Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Bloomington, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.
