Football Preview: Buckhorn Bucks vs. Athens Golden Eagles
Buckhorn is 0-3 against Athens since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Buckhorn Bucks will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the Athens Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Buckhorn is headed out to face Athens after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Buckhorn enjoyed a cozy 33-19 victory over Decatur on Friday.
Meanwhile, Athens had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down Mae Jemison 21-6 on Friday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Golden Eagles were the (much) better team in the second half.
