Preview: West Carrollton Pirates vs. Fairborn Skyhawks
West Carrollton is 2-8 against Fairborn since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The West Carrollton Pirates will be playing at home against the Fairborn Skyhawks at 7:15 p.m. The timing is sure in West Carrollton's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Fairborn has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, West Carrollton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 36-30 to Butler.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Selena Frost, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Fairborn came up short against Stebbins on Saturday and fell 39-27. Fairborn has not had much luck with Stebbins recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
West Carrollton's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Fairborn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.
Everything came up roses for West Carrollton against Fairborn in their previous matchup back in December of 2021 as the squad secured a 62-22 victory. Will West Carrollton repeat their success, or does Fairborn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
