Football Recap: LaGrange Comes Up Short

LaGrange extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were dealt a 52-0 loss at the hands of the Slaughter Community Charter Knights. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for Slaughter Community Charter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0. Their defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a point in their last three matchups.

Slaughter Community Charter had a senior duo take command as Ty'Kimion Ford gained 102 total yards and a touchdown and Carson Baxter rushed for 31 yards and one touchdown.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. LaGrange will face off against Bolton Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Slaughter Community Charter, they will take on Capitol at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
