Basketball Recap: Yorktown's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Port Aransas, Yorktown was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 44-33 victory over the Pettus Eagles. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Yorktown's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-8. As for Pettus, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Yorktown will challenge Woodsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pettus, they will square off against Port Aransas at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Port Aransas will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Pettus surely won't give up without a fight.
