Football Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Hibriten

Hibriten had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 45-26 win over the R-S Central Hilltoppers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 257th).

Hibriten got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elan Lipford out in front who rushed for 123 yards, and also threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Dk Mitchell was another key rusher, rushing for 70 yards and three scores.

Hibriten's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for R-S Central, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.
