Basketball Recap: Julian Silvetz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ransom Everglades over Dade Christian

Ransom Everglades played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Dade Christian Warriors, falling 68-43. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 575th, while the Warriors are ranked 106th).

Ransom Everglades lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Julian Silvetz, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matheus Dabus, who put up eight points.

Dade Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clorvens Celine, who had 15 points along with six steals and five assists. Rayshawn Emer-Lake was another key player, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.

Ransom Everglades is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6. As for Dade Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Ransom Everglades wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-37 victory against Marathon on the 19th. As for Dade Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-27 win against Sheridan Hills Christian on the 16th.
