Volleyball Recap: Beech Grove Takes a Loss

Beech Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Mooresville Pioneers. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Pioneers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Beech Grove was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Mooresville's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 28-26.

Ryker LeTourneau paced Beech Grove's offense, picking up ten kills. LeTourneau got some help from Aidyn Collins and his 13 assists. Collins was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Beech Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Mooresville, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-13.

Beech Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against International on the 9th. As for Mooresville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Terre Haute North Vigo on the 7th.
