Softball Recap: Post Has No Trouble Against New Deal

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stamford, Post was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 16-6 margin over the New Deal Lions. The Antelopes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by nine runs or more this season.

Post got a massive performance out of Amberly Garza, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance gave Garza a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Shaylee Pope, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Post's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for New Deal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Post has already played their next match, a 16-0 loss against Floydada on the 28th. As for New Deal, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-3 defeat against Muleshoe on the 28th.
