Softball Game Recap: Pascagoula Panthers vs. West Harrison Hurricanes

Pascagoula was the 3-2 winner over West Harrison when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Anneleese Rabon put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

In other batting news, Khyliyah Moore made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Pascagoula has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for West Harrison, their record now sits at 9-16.

Looking ahead, Pascagoula will take on Moss Point at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Harrison, they will challenge Harrison Central at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Red Rebels' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Hurricanes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
