Venice has gone 8-2 against Riverview Sarasota recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Indians will challenge the Rams at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Venice 2.8, Riverview Sarasota 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Venice is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Sarasota by a score of 7-4. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Meanwhile, while Riverview Sarasota put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for North Port. The Rams won by a run and slipped past the Bobcats 1-0. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Allison Cole's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 17 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 20 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Riverview Sarasota saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabelle Bain, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Venice's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Riverview Sarasota, their win bumped their record up to 20-4.

Everything went Venice's way against Riverview Sarasota in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Venice made off with a 7-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
