Softball Recap: Paulding Comes Up Short

Paulding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to the Defiance Bulldogs. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Paulding saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jalyn Klopfenstein, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Paulding now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Defiance, their record now sits at 11-7.

Looking ahead, Paulding will challenge Edgerton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Defiance, they will square off against Kenton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
