La Quinta added to the longest winning streak in Desert Valley this week by beating Palm Springs, 19-6. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Cathedral City scaled the state rankings by moving to 387 from 432 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Lions were able to move up by defeating Coachella Valley 43-14.

Thanks to the talents of Kyle Kabeary and Trae Riek, Palm Desert has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Kabeary is tops in the league in passing with 930 yards, while Riek has rushed for 1,260 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is La Quinta's Vincent Guzman, with 264 yards on 10 catches.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Cathedral City takes on second place La Quinta. Last week, Cathedral City topped the Arabs, while Danny Armstrong's team defeated the Indians.

The Blackhawks' offense has recorded 255 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Richard Lee's team has permitted only 120 on the year.

Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when La Quinta's Guzman goes up against the Lions' Aaron Lomboy.

The league will see a high scoring game when Cathedral City and the Blackhawks face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Lions comes in having scored 233 this season, while La Quinta has scored 255. Cathedral City scored 43 points last week as it bested Coachella Valley.

The Aztecs took down Indio 63-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
